When the cold starts to set in, anglers typically resort to one of two habits. Either they unpack the shanty and start looking for ice, or if they start tying flies and making lures in preparation for the season ahead. While both are great options, there is another alternative that may help scratch that itch during the winter. Fishing Video games. I know, I know, you’re rolling your eyes.. but hear me out.
Fishing video games certainly don’t reach the top of the charts in popularity, but they can provide a fun escape when you are putting off shoveling the driveway for the third time in a day. If you have a gaming console or computer, there’s a fishing game calling your name. Even your android or iphone may be all you need to cast a line.

4. Let’s Fish
Let’s fish brings access to over 400 species to the palm of your hand. This game is free but as with most mobile games, it offers free in-app purchases.

Another mobile game, and our only Fly Fishing game on the list is Fly Fishing Simulator HD. This free game does a pretty good job of translating the complexities of fly fishing to your phone. Select your flies, perfect your drift and prepare to reel in a big one.
