What’s that? You need room for two passengers on your bike rides?! Good news, there are bike trailer options that will allow you to haul two kiddos. The bad news? They cost a little more, but as a parent, you probably already saw that coming. We’re going to look at options from Burley, Thule, copilot, and some more budget-friendly options from Retrospec, Allen and Instep.
When we purchased our bike trailer, it was at the height of the pandemic. We had narrowed it down to either a Burley Bee or the Thule Cadence, but due to shortages, we could only find the Thule Cadence. The good news for you, is that there a quite a few solid options available now at a variety of price points. While we only had one child at the time, we wanted to future-proof our purchase and opted for a two-seater.
The big names
If you’ve done any research, you’ve likely come across Burley and Thule. These brands fall at the higher end of the price spectrum, but are trusted names in the outdoor industry. You won’t find these brands at a big box store, but a local bike shop or outdoors outfitter will have what you are seeking.
